EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTORS ALERT: New EU Directive on Phthalates Published [2005/84/EC]

As the new EU Directive on Phthalate has been enforced since January 16th 2007, there is however inevitably left-over
stocks of non-compliance toy products from previous sales seasons at retailing level.  These products should not be
marketed to the public any more, or the retailers will violate the law resulting in fine and recall.  Please ensure your
retailers and customers are fully aware of this, and assist them to filter through the stocks.

Summer of 2007 - Overheating of the Electric Heater plug - Model HT30220 and HT30221
To prevent overheating of the electric heater plug:
Do not use extensions cord.
Provide a dedicated electrical outlet socket rated:
    13 ampere or more for Model HT30221
    16 ampere or more for Model HT30220
Ensure the RCD plug fit tightly and securely into the electrical outlet socket.
If not sure contact a qualified electrician.

EUROPEAN RETAILERS AND DISTRIBUTORS ALERT: New EU Directive on Phthalates Published [2005/84/EC]

The EU Committee has published and adopted a new regulation towards the use of phthalates in toy and childcare articles
starting from January 16th, 2007.  Intex has started shipping full compliance toy products ONLY (coded with suffix NP) to
EU countries.  Any stocks from previous season must be sold before January 16th 2007, as any left-over non-compliance toy
products after this date in the retail system will result in fine and recall by the EU authorities.
